Recently I posted about my favourite hair care and styling products but didn’t go into detail about them. Well my friends, here is the detail! Let me tell you about the Arbonne FC5 Nourishing Daily Shampoo and Conditioner.
These are advertised as hydrating and nourishing for all hair types, including colour treated hair. I’ve been using them for about a year and I’m extremely happy with how they perform. The first thing you notice is that the shampoo doesn’t lather up as much as you might be used to from other brands. The reason for this is that it doesn’t contain any sulfates or detergents…which are BAD for you!
“What are sulfates and why are they bad?”
Sulfates are added to products to separate dirt and oil from your skin and hair which then gets carried away when you rinse it off. The problem is that they can be very irritating and drying. Sulfate free products don’t strip natural oils as much which means you are retaining naturally occurring protective oils = healthy balance! The conditioner is rich enough, but not so much that it leaves my hair feeling heavy. In summary, these products leave my hair feeling clean, soft, smooth and silky but without stripping it of all my natural protective oils and without weighing my hair down.
I recently went travelling and bought travel sized products from supermarkets for convenience, and after 2 months my hair felt damaged and disgusting and after one wash with these guys when I got home, I was back in hair heaven and realised how amazing these are and how much I missed them when I was away!!
The scent of these products is light and fruity. I really like it! When you look at the ingredients list on the Arbonne Website you can see just how many different fruits make an appearance in these. It’s basically like a fruit salad for your hair!
The bottles are light and bright in colour, and the use of green and white has a “fresh” appeal to them. I like that they are squeezable so that I can get most, if not all, of the product out of them.
The shampoo is $22 and the conditioner is $20 (AUD). To me this classes as mid range. Not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive.
Available through an Arbonne Independent Consultant, but if you’re already a Arbonne Preferred Client you can order straight from www.arbonne.com.au with your ID number and have delivered to your door.
Have you tried these? If so what did you think?
